Defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence has lamented his ability to get to opposing quarterbacks this season.
That drought came to an end Sunday with his sack of Ben Roethlisberger.
“My emotions were so high this whole game I didn’t even realize it,” said Lawrence, who led the Cowboys in sacks with eight last season. “I’ve just got to praise the Lord that I got in there in time to get the sack and just keep rushing.”
“I can’t even worry about that,” he said. “I’ve got to go out there and work to get them and not give up on my rushes.
“I felt I did a good job tonight of not giving up on my rushes. I’ve just got to keep working.”
Lawrence also dropped Pittsburgh receiver Antonio Brown for a 10-yard loss on a reverse. Did he relish that more than his sack?
“Um, sacks are where the money is at,” he said.
